Baker & McKenzie promotes 65 to partnership

June 28, 2014 Baker & McKenzie has promoted 65 lawyers and other professionals to partnership rank across its global network of 32 offices. This promotions round is down slightly from last year’s figures, when 71 partners were made up.

Almost one third of the new partners working in the firm’s tax practice, while the M&A practice gained 12 new partners, and the banking and finance and employment teams picked up nine each.


The region with the largest gain in partnerships is the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, which saw 21 partners made up, followed by 19 new partnersin Asia Pacific, 16 in North America, and the remaining nine (14 per cent) in Latin America.
