Sedgwick cancels summer program in two offices
Sedgwick has announced that it has cancelled its summer associate programs in two US offices. The San Francisco and Los Angeles offices have stopped interviewing hopefuls, suggesting in a statement that their current needs run more in the direction of experienced attorneys.
The summer associate programs at San Francisco haven’t been very large, in any case: both offices had two summer associates this year, and in 2013 San Francisco had four summer associates while Los Angeles had two.
But while many firms cancelled their summer programs in 2009, when BigLaw took a huge hit from the global economy, cancelling the programs is fairly rare, these days.
