Pinsent Masons reports 4.6% increase in revenue
Pinsent Masons has reported a 4.6 per cent increase in revenue from £309m to £323m in the last financial year, while average profit per equity partner increased by 4.5 per cent from £387,000 to £405,000.
Pinsents managing partner David Ryan attributed the bulk of the growth to banking and finance, real estate and projects, particularly in the energy sector. The firm’s Germany and the Middle East practices have also made a significant contribution to the revenue figures.
The firm has invested serious energy in growth via merger in the past couple of years, as well as expanding with office launches and lateral hires. But Ryan indicated a strategic shift in the coming period, saying: “Our focus now is on realising the strongest returns and boosting profitability with a more modest level of investment continuing alongside.”
