Ashurst scales back its Adelaide office
Ashurst is set to scale back its Adelaide presence, eliminating five jobs and relocating the only Adelaide-based partner.comments powered by Disqus
A spokesperson for the firm said that the affected individuals would be offered jobs at Ashurst offices interstate “wherever possible”.
Adelaide partner and office head Tanya Denning will relocate to Melbourne to lead the Melbourne energy practice.
The firm says that despite it’s declining size and decreasing firepower, the Adelaide office will remain open.Two senior associates will retain oversight of the office, supported by other Ashurst partners.
“Our ability to service our South Australian clients will not be impacted,” a spokesperson said. “The steps we are taking are in response to current and anticipated levels of business activity in the South Australian market.”
