Hogan Lovells set to make up to 7 redundancies

August 22, 2014 Hogan Lovells is set to make seven support staff redundant as part of the firm's plan to relocate IT services from London to Johannesburg.

The firm announced its intention to offshore business services to Johannesburg in February, following its merger with South African firm Routledge Modise. At the time, the firm said that roles would be transferred to Johannesburg as and when people voluntarily left the firm “in almost all cases”. It seems that these seven roles fall within the terms of that caveat.

A firm spokesperson declined to comment on the redundancies except to say that the firm made it clear, when it announced the launch of the business services centre, that redundancies were expected.
