Herbert Smith Freehills elects Palmer senior partner
Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) elected former corporate head James Palmer on friday to be its new senior partner. Palmer will succeed Jonathan Scott and assume the role on 1 February 2015 for three years.
Palmer has been with HSF since 1986 as a trainee at legacy Herbert Smith and a partner for 20 years. He defeated legacy Freehills chair Mark Crean.
Palmer will maintain his corporate practice and continue spending most of his time on client work.
