Weil Gotshal & Manges loses two finance attorneys
Weil Gotshal & Manges has lost a pair of attorneys, including one partner, from its finance practice. Finance partner Rupert Wall is departing the firm after more than 10 years to join Sidley Austin. Wall joined Weil Gotshal in 2004 before becoming partner in 2012. He led the structuring and restructuring of securitisation deals for the firm the past few years.
The firm also sees associate Chris McGarry departing for Ropes & Gray, where he is set to join as partner in London. McGarry advises on structured finance transactions, focusing on securitisations and collateralised loan obligations. McGarry joined Weil Gotshal in 2011 after holding positions at RBS and Clifford Chance.
