Dentons opens 21-lawyer office in Milan
Dentons has launched an office in Milan, its first in Italy, with 21 lawyers. Seven of the lawyers opening the office will be partners, one of whom is the former managing partner for DLA Piper Europe and Africa, Federico Sutti.
Sutti will be managing partner of the new office. Of the remaining six partners, two come from DLA Piper, two have been made up and two have joined from The Employment Law Plant (hELP), a boutique employment firm.
The remaining six partners joining Dentons are Aldo Calza, Pier Francesco Fagiano, Matteo Falcione, Maria Insinga, Iacopo Piuri and Frederico Vanetti. All of them have spent time at DLA and all except Calza and Piuri come directly from DLA. Calza and Piuri previously left DLA to help setup hELP.
Of the 21 lawyers launching the new office, eight come directly from DLA while the rest join from hELP.
Before he began his role as DLA's managing director of Europe and Africa offices, Sutti was managing partner in Italy for 10 years at the firm.
