CMS Cameron McKenna boosts corporate team
CMS Cameron McKenna has hired BP's M&A managing counsel Jonathan Woolf as a partner on its corporate team. Woolf joined BP in 2010 after four years at Linklaters as a managing associate.
Woolf's area of specialisation is M&A deals within the oil and gas sector. He has experience with both upstream and downstream work and has also worked with financial sponsors. Woolf is familiar with the oil and gas sectors in Azerbaijan, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Venezuela and South Africa. While at Linklaters, he practised from both London and Hong Kong.
CMS has been on a hiring spree since September, making Woolf the firm's fifth lateral addition in that time. Before his hire, the firm brought on partners Jason Brooks & Thomas Lockley as well as counsel Susan Altkemper to the firm's financial services and products team. The first lateral hire made in September was Satyen Dhana, who joined CMS as a partner in the competition group.
