Paul Hastings nabs Linklaters verteran in London
Paul Hastings has recruited a Freshfields and Linklaters veteran, finance partner David Ereira, to boost its finance practice in London.
Ereira spent 17 years as a partner at Freshfields before the departing the firm to join Linklaters in 2007. There he worked in the firm's finance practice and focused his practice on restructuring and insolvency, private equity, and restructuring and real estate finance.
Notably, Ereira won client work from PricewaterhouseCoopers during its role as administrators of Lehman Brothers, the creditors of Woolworths after its 2008 collapse and the creditors and owners of Le Meridien Hotels.
Earlier this week, Paul Hastings cooped up structured finance and capital markets partner Paul Severs from Berwin Leighton Paisner. Earlier this year, the firm was able to attract King & Wood Mallesons private fund partner Duncan Woollard, Ashurst leveraged finance partner Luke McDougall and Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy finance partner Peter Schwartz.
