Former BLP head hired to lead Dentons in London

December 7, 2015 After departing Berwin Leighton Paisner in October, the firm's former corporate head David Collins has accepted a position at Dentons to lead its corporate practice in London. Collins takes over the position for Richard Barham, who returns to a full-time fee-earning position, after four years serving as UK corporate head.

Collins was previously at BLP for more than 20 years. His time there reached a seeming end after he lost the firm's leadership election to employment partner Lisa Mayhew last February. While Collins is the third corporate hire in London in as many months at Dentons, the firm has mostly made news for its recent spate of mergers as the end of the year approaches. The firm recently completed its sixth and seventh mergers on the year, which sees the firm expanding into Latin America.
