The Brussels offices is expected to furnish advice on competition and regulatory support to its UK and international clients. It's practice areas will include central and local government, food and retail, transport and energy.
A core team of leaders will shift to the new office, beginning with head of EU and competition Jonathan Branton, who will head up the office. Joining him are head of retail, food and hospitality Hilary Ross as well as director Brona Heenan.
Branton spent 10 years previously working in Brussels for legacy firm Hammonds. He joined DWF in 2012. Ross came to DWF in 2011 after being a partner at Berwin Leighton Paisner. Heenan has been Brussels-based for the past two decades and has acted as representative to parties in European Commissions investigations.
