Clyde & Co assembles regulatory team in Sydney
Clyde & Co has created a 10-lawyer regulatory team in Sydney, and has drawn heavily from Norton Rose Fulbright to assemble the team. Two partners and four lawyers come to Clydes from Norton Rose Fulbright to join the team.
Partners Michael Tooma and Alena Titterton headline the hires from Norton Rose. Their practices have centered around occupational, health, safety and security (OHSS) and the pair has experience with many sectors including energy, gas, construction, infrastructure, mining, transport and rail.
Tooma also previously served as Asia Pacific head of OHSS at Norton Rose in addition to being the Austrailian head of regulations and investigations practice. He will lead Clyde & Co's OHSS practice for the entire Asia Pacific region.
Last November, Clyde & Co hired insurance partner Marcus O'Brien from Norton Rose's Melbourne office. With all of its recent hirings, the firm's Asia Pacific partner count will reach 51 by next month, a considerable increase from 42 before.
