Fieldfisher uses merger to enter Italy

June 23, 2016 Fieldfisher is merging with a local Italian firm, allowing the firm to enter the local market there. The merger with Studio Associato Servizi Professionali Integrati (SASPI) will establish a foothold for Fieldfisher in the region that includes 170 fee-earners.

The merger is set to go live on 1 July and is being setup as a Swiss Verein. SASPI has offices in Milan, Rome, Venice and Turin and of its 170 fee-earners, 21 are partners, and number are tax accountants. The firm has traditionally offered advice on matters related to banking, corporate, company secretarial, compliance and commercial, employment, data protection and tax law.
