Burford hires new MD Craig Arnott from Fried Frank

Craig Arnott has been hired as Managing Director at litigation funder Burford Capital, replacing Nick Rowles-Davies, who is reportedly leaving Burford to open a rival firm. Arnott previously led the competition practice at Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson, and was a barrister in the Australian bar’s Sixth Floor Chambers. Arnott will relocate from Australia to London for the new position, which will involve litigation financing matters in the UK, Europe, and Asia. He will also serve as director of Burford Capital PLC, a bond-issuer subsidiary of Burford.
