Four Ashurst finance partners exit to US firms

Ashurst continues to see a series of exits from the firm, as four finance partners have announced their departures. Paul Hastings has hired Michael Smith, Diala Minott and Cameron Saylor, while financial regulatory partner Nicola Higgs will be joining Latham & Watkins. These departures are the latest hit in a rocky period at Ashurst, where approximately 30 lawyers have quit within 18 months. The firm’s financial woes have also caused delayed partner distributions this year, although firm management anticipates next year’s financial performance to be back on track.
