Keystone and Orrick tap KWM for new hires

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe and Keystone Law are among the latest firms to hire partners from the struggling EUME arm of King & Wood Mallesons (KWM). Orrick has hired London-based Ylan Steiner, head of venture capital at KWM, along with Munich-based Christoph Brenner, German corporate head at KWM. Keystone has hired Jeremy Schrire, head of commerce and technology, after having hired employment partner Hilary O’Connor earlier in the year. KWM has seen a run of exits from the firm as its European arm failed to secure a merger partner, and recently filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
