BLP posts 55 per cent retention rate for spring qualifiers

Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) will keep eleven of its 20 trainees in newly qualified (NQ) positions this spring. The firm’s 55 per cent retention rate is lower than last autumn, when BLP retained 65 per cent of qualifiers. Of the eleven qualifiers, four will be joining the firm’s real estate practice, three will join litigation, two will join the tax practice, and two will go to the corporate practice. All NQs will be based in London, although one will spend six months in Singapore.
