DLA Piper confirms Berlin closure

DLA Piper has announced that the firm will be closing its Berlin office, following the departure of its two lawyers. Nina Siedler, who served as a financial services partner at DLA, left the firm for DWF, along with real estate of counsel Irene Schmid. DWF is set to launch its Berlin practice in April. The team will include a total of eight lawyers, including Siedler and Schmid, who will both be partners at the new office. The Berlin base will be headed by Wolfgang Richter, who formerly worked at DLA as a partner.
