Bryan Hughes to leave Eversheds Sutherland after eight-year CEO term

Bryan Hughes has announced that he will depart from Eversheds Sutherland after serving eight years as the firm’s CEO. He started at the firm in 1984 and was named managing partner at the firm’s Cardiff office in 2000, before becoming UK managing partner in 2006. As of April, Eversheds Sutherland managing partner Lee Ranson will take over as CEO before Hughes leaves the firm during the last quarter of 2017. The merger between Eversheds and Sutherland Asbil & Brennan was recently completed, with a new 10-member global board overseeing the newly combined firm.
