Bakers to expand in New York and London by 2020
Baker McKenzie plans to expand its presence in New York and London by 2020, as part of a strategy announced by global chair Paul Rawlinson.
The plans include doubling headcount in New York, where the firm currently has 54 partners, and adding 10 to 20 lateral hires in London. Colin Murray, Bakers’ North America managing partner, is expected to play a central role in the firm’s New York expansion.
Bakers plans to hire across various practice groups including disputes, compliance, M&A, tax and private equity.
