KWM to close in Riyadh amid EUME consolidation

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has announced plans to close its Riyadh office, following a recent relaunch of Europe and Middle East offices earlier in the year. KWM will consolidate its Middle East business into Dubai after closing the Riyadh office, which was operated as an arrangement with the Law Office of Majed Almarshad. KWM’s Dubai office is led by Tim Taylor, a disputes partner who transferred to KWM China after the firm’s European arm went into administration. A number of firms, including Clifford Chance, Herbert Smith Freehills, and Weil Gotshal & Manges, have recently closed offices or consolidated operations in the Middle East.
