Revenue up 22 per cent at Co-op Legal Services

Co-operative Legal Services (CLS) has reported a 22 per cent increase in revenue, which rose from £18m to £22m in 2016. After a 14% decrease the prior year, CLS brought on more than 100 new associates and staff members following its acquisition of Collective Legal Solutions. Operating profits came in at £1.5m, an increase over last year’s £700,000. According to managing director Matt Howells, CLS will continue its restructuring efforts to incorporate Co-operative’s funeralcare business, a move that is expected to create a broader life planning division at CLS.
