Osborne Clarke launches first mainland China base in Shanghai

Osborne Clarke has launched an office in Shanghai, which will serve as the firm’s first mainland China location. The office is an association with the recently established firm Zhang Yu & Partners, which was founded by Guohua Zhang and Steve Yu. Zhang previously worked as a consultant with the Hong Kong office of Koh Vass & Co, which had an association with Osborne Clarke. Yu previously served as managing partner of the Shanghai office of Armstrong Teasdale. The duo will lead a six-lawyer team in China as Osborne Clarke expands its presence in Asia.
