Tata Group brings on new GC from Shardul Amarchand

Tata Group has hired Shuva Mandal as the Indian conglomerate’s new group general counsel, replacing Bharat Vasani, who has spent 17 years in the role. Mandal joins Tata from Indian law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, where he was head of corporate. As group general counsel at Tata, his role will include joining a special team overseen by Tata chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran. Mandal is slated to start the new role as of July 1, when Vasani will transition to a strategic and advisory role within the company.
