General Election sends nine new lawyers to Parliament

Last week’s General Election resulted in a total of nine new lawyers who were elected to join Parliament. The new members include Paul Masterson in East Renfrewshire, Fiona Onasanya in Peterborough, Darren Jones in Bristol North West, Simon Clarke in Middlesbrough & South East Cleveland, Bambos Charalambous in Enfield Southgate, Bim Afolami in Hitchin and Harpenden, Emma Little Pengelly in Belfast South, Ellie Reeves in Lewisham West & Penge, Afzal Khan in Manchester Gorton and Ed Davey in Kingston & Surbiton. Of the new members, the majority represent the Labour party, while the remaining seats went to Conservatives, DUP and Lib Dems.
