Sidley Austin Singapore partner joins Duane Morris

Duane Morris & Selvam has hired Gerard Hekker, who joins the firm’s Singapore office from Sidley Austin. Hekker was a director at Sidley Austin’s Singapore location, where he specialized in M&A, telecommunications, media and technology (TMT), and cross-border capital markets for public and private companies. He has worked on transactions across multiple industries, including consumer, e-commerce, finance, natural resources, energy, petroleum and petrochemicals, aviation and manufacturing. Prior to joining Sidley Austin in 2011, Hekker spent 11 years at the Singapore office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
