Asia’s largest firms see growth reach five-year high

According to data from The Lawyer, Asia’s largest firms have seen a 15 per cent increase in lawyer headcount. The report, titled The Lawyer Asia Pacific 100 2017, reveals that growth has reach a five-year high among the region’s 100 largest firms, which collectively had 44,627 lawyers in 2016. Asian firms’ increased headcount can be attributed mainly to expansion throughout the region. Nearly a third of the firms in the group opened at least one new office.
