Clyde & Co hires Eversheds Sutherland marine team

Clyde & Co has hired a marine team from Eversheds Sutherland, the newly combined firm. The team includes Stephen Mackin, who served as head of shipping at Eversheds Sutherland. Mackin joins Clyde & Co with shipping litigation partner Jessica Maitra and three additional lawyers. Mackin was made up to partner at legacy Eversheds in 2001, and previously worked at Shell Tankers as a navigating officer. Maitra has been a partner with Eversheds since 2011. Clydes partner Andrew Preston said the team will add value to the firm’s shipping business.
