Macfarlanes reports PEP increase of 8 per cent

Macfarlanes has announced its 2016/17 financial results, reporting an 8 per cent rise in profit per equity partner (PEP), which increased from £1.29m to £1.38m. Revenue was up 4 per cent, rising from £161m to £167.6m. The firm also saw an increase in operating profit, which was up 4 per cent from £81.7m to £85.9m. Macfarlanes senior partner Charles Martin credits this year’s financial growth to the firm’s work with clients who sought opportunity amid the past year’s uncertainties.
