Clifford Chance partner named new secretary of Takeover Panel

The Takeover Panel has named James Bole as its new secretary, in a two-secondment role that will begin in September. He will replace Addleshaw Goddard partner Simon Wood, who has held the position for two years. Bole was made up as a partner at Clifford Chance two months ago as one of the firm’s six new London-based partners. The new role is part of the Takeover Panel executive, which includes permanent employees as well as seconds from various law firms, including Travers Smith and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom.
