Vinson & Elkins NQ pay increased to £120,000

Vinson & Elkins has announced a salary increase for newly qualified (NQ) solicitors, bumping pay 20 per cent from £100,000 to £120,000. The firm has also increased salaries for 1PQE lawyers, who will now be paid £127,000, up from £110,000. Pay for 2PQE associates has increased by 17 per cent from £120,000 to £140,000. Trainees will also see a salary increase, with first-years receiving £50,000 and second-years receiving £55,000. Associate salaries went into effect on 1 July, while trainee pay increases will go into effect as of 1 September.
