Keir Starmer backs out of Mishcon advisory role discussions

Labour MP Keir Starmer has discontinued talks with Mishcon de Reya regarding an advisory role with the firm. He has attributed his decision to other commitments, and will no longer pursue a role that would have involved advising the firm on its in-house training programme, known as Mishcon Academy. The advisory position would have entailed a few hours a month, during which Starmer would provide legal advice. He has held previous advisory positions with the firm, including a stint with the business crime unit prior to taking on an advisory role with Mishcon Academy last year.
