Kirkland London trainee retention drops to 50%
Kirkland & Ellis has announced that the firm will retain just 50 per cent of its London-based trainees for this year’s autumn round.
The firm, which currently takes on 10 trainees per year, retained 100 per cent of its seven trainees in 2016. This year sees five trainees stay on with the firm, as several trainees applied to the firm’s funds team, while the firm sought trainees for the debt finance practice.
Several firms have revealed their autumn trainee retention rates for 2017, with 16 firms having reported results thus far.
