King & Spalding launches Chicago office

Atlanta-based firm King & Spalding has expanded its presence in the US with the opening of a new office in Chicago, which is the firm’s 20th firm worldwide. Litigator Zachary Fardon has been hired to head up the new office. He started his career at the firm before shifting into government positions. He later led the litigation department at Latham & Watkins and most recently held a position as US Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois. The Chicago location will focus on commercial litigation, government investigations, financial services and life sciences.
