Bakers names new managing partner in Madrid
Baker McKenzie has named Rodrigo Ogea as managing partner in the firm’s Madrid office. He will take over the role from previous MP José María Alonso Puig, who recently stepped down from the position. Puig has reportedly applied for a position to become head of the Madrid Bar. Last week, Baker McKenzie Madrid was dropped as legal adviser to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is under investigation for a claim that he defrauded more than €14m from Spanish authorities. As managing partner, Ogea will be based in Madrid and will work with Barcelona managing partner Montserrat Llopart.
