Ropes & Gray and Morrison & Foerster lead Toshiba chip business sale
In one of Asia’s largest private equity deals ever, Toshiba has sold its semiconductor business for $18bn (£13.4bn).
Ropes & Gray advised Bain Capital on the deal, with partner Tsuyoshi Imai leading the Ropes team.
Toshiba was advised by a Morrison & Foerster team led by Tokyo-based partner Kenneth Siegel, along with partners Leo Aguilar, Louise Stoupe, Leo Aguilar and Stuart Beraha. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer was also involved in the deal.
