Clifford Chance and Allen & Overy raise associate pay

Clifford Chance and Allen & Overy are the latest Magic Circle firms to announce associate pay raises, having released further details of new pay rates this week. Clifford Chance has raised associate pay by 3% from £85,000 to £87,300, while trainee salaries have been increased to £44,800 for first-years and £50,500 for second-years. Allen & Overy has increased pay for newly-qualified (NQ) solicitors by 3% from £78,500 to £81,000. Trainees at the firm will be paid £44,000 during their first year and £49,000 during their second year.
