Three Eversheds partners in the running for UK chair position

As Eversheds Sutherland prepares to replace incumbent Paul Smith for the role of UK chair, three partners are reported to be considered as candidates. The candidates include Pamela Thompson, Rob Pitcher and Michael Clavell-Bate. Thompson currently serves as head of financial services, while Pitcher is joint head of energy and infrastructure. Clavell-Bate serves as senior partner and head of commercial disputes in the firm’s Manchester office. The new UK chair will take on the position as of 1 May 2018 for a four-year term.
