Clyde & Co recruits Ince team, continues expansion
Clyde & Co has announced the launch of a new office in Hamburg. The firm recently made a four-partner team hire, nabbing some department heads from insurance and shipping competitor Ince & Co.
The team includes Ince’s head of English law Daniel Jones, who has been in the firm’s Hamburg office since 2008 and was also a member of Ince Consultancy, the firm’s non-legal branch offering financial and project structuring advice. Joining Jones is Ince’s head of admiralty and energy Eckehard Volz, cargo claims specialist Volker Lücke, and litigations and arbitration expert Tim Schommer, who also has a well of experience with ship repair and yachting disputes.
This expansion is a continuation of Clyde’s international boom, after it opened offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Washington last year. It is the firm’s second German office, after its Düsseldorf location.
