Former Bakers partner launches trade boutique in HK
Baker McKenzie partner William Marshall has opened a boutique law firm in Hong Kong with a focus on international trade.
Marshall spent 2013 through 2016 as Bakers’ head of international trade and commerce for Hong Kong and China. In 2016 he left the firm for Deloitte, where he led the Asia Pacific customs and global trade practice.
Like Marshall himself, his new boutique called William Marshall & Co will place emphasis on international trade regulatory, as well as some supply chain commercial issues.
Marshall’s pre-Bakers experience includes six years at international trade firm Grunfeld Desiderio Lebowitz Silverman & Klestadt in New York and one year at DLA Piper in Hong Kong.
