HSF fires partner over sexual misconduct claims
Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) has become the latest law firm to fire a partner on the grounds of sexual misconduct.
The firm suspended an unnamed Australian partner on 9 March, following an internal investigation’s discovery of evidence of misconduct. The investigation was brought about by the claims of several female employees about sexual harassment. HSF has now made the decision to terminate the partner’s relationship with the firm on 23 March.
The start of 2018 has seen several firms dealing with sexual harassment cases. Baker McKenzie, Linklaters, and Dentons have all been caught up in controversies surrounding sexual misconduct.
