Skadden loses corporate star to old stomping grounds
Gide Loyrette Nouel has landed the rehire of M&A partner Olivier Diaz to its Paris office from Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom.
Diaz left Gide in 1998, and has since taken positions at Linklaters and Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier, where he was co-managing until his departure in 2015, when he joined Skadden.
Gide is on the path to regrowth, following a strategic review led by managing partner Stéphane Puel in 2016. It has since then opened offices in Tehran and Cairo, as well as hiring tax partner Magali Buchert and electing new senior partner Xavier de Kergommeaux and re-electing Puel, who is now serving his third term.
