Clifford Chance replaces Cont. Europe managing partner

March 27, 2018 Clifford Chance has found a successor for its Continental Europe managing partner Yves Wehrli.

Former Italy managing partner Charles Adams is slated to return to Europe from his current post in New York and assume the role being left by Wehrli. From America Adams is still the firm’s head of finance and capital markets in Italy.

In addition to managing the firm’s Italian practice from 2007 to 2014, Adams also served on the firm’s management committee. The management committee was however disbanded shortly after Matthew Layton took over as managing partner for the firm.

Wehrli is stepping down because he has completed as many terms as are permitted. He is expected to take over as managing partner in Paris.
