Pinsents ups transparency, reveals partnership gender pay data
Pinsent Mason has disclosed its gender pay statistics regarding partners, taking the transparency a step further than most other firms.
Among the UK firm’s partnership, men take home 22% more than women on average, or 38% more using the median figure. Regarding bonus figures, Pinsents has the rare distinction of giving its female partners 11% more on average, or 0% on a median basis.
Pinsents senior partner Richard Foley criticized the Law Society for the ambiguity of the requirements regarding the disclosure of gender pay brackets. Firms have until 4 April to publish their figures. The latest data released was by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, who stands ahead of the crowd compared to other Magic Circle firms.
