Weil pay gap stats: middle of the road
Weil Gotshal & Manges has published statistics about the firm’s payment regarding gender on 28 March, one week before the 4 April deadline.
Male employees at the firm make on average 38% more than female employees. When calculated with the median figure, the disparity grows to 53%. The average bonus received by men was 50% than those received by women, or 55.8% on a median basis.
Weil also released the figures excluding secretarial roles, which reduced the gap average to 24.95% and median to 7.28%. In a statement, a Weil spokesperson admitted the firm’s need to increase the number of women in senior positions.
