In London, Holman Fenwick Willan picked up litigator Nick Fisher from Fishers Solicitors. A veteran in maritime litigation, Fisher’s hire will take effect on 1 May.
Elsewhere in Europe, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer lost its Paris head Elie Kleiman to Jones Day. With extensive experience in arbitration and litigation in a broad range of industry sectors, Kleiman will join the US firm’s global disputes practice as a partner.
In the Middle East, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner also lost an office head with the departure of Dubai head Mohammed Kamal to Watson Farley & Williams. Kamal will join the firm to help launch its real estate practice, something he has previously done for Hogan Lovells in the Middle East before.
