Mayer Brown begins Tokyo growth with expert hires
Mayer Brown has recruited two partners and a senior associate to its newly opened Tokyo office, strengthening the branch’s finance and corporate practices.
The partner hires are banking and finance expert Shri Maski from Ashurst and corporate specialist Gordon Palmquist from Shearman & Sterling. Maski spent 10 years at Ashurst advising on financial cases for such clients as lenders, sponsors, and public authorities across various sectors. Palmquist began his career at Mayer Brown before honing his skills and digging into his specialities at Shearman.
Also from Ashurst is senior associate Tomo Adachi. He and Maski will be joining their former Mayer Brown colleague Rupert Burrows, who worked at Ashurst for about two decades before making the jump to Mayer Brown.
