Locke Lord hires Troutman lawyers following office closure
Lock Lorde has hired a team of three lawyers from Troutman Sanders in Hong Kong, ahead of the latter firm’s closure of its Asia office in May.
The recruited lawyers are arbitration partner Ronald Sum, counsel Daniel Lee, and trainee lawyer Beryl Wu, who in August will qualify as an associate. Sum will join the Locke Lord as its East Asia head of arbitration.
With expertise in a broad range of dispute and non-contentious matters, Sum will quickly become a key player in the firm’s Asian dealings. He will be working alongside the firm’s previously unassisted chair of China and Hong Kong practice Greg Burch, who currently splits his time between Hong Kong and Houston.
