Partner for two years at White & Case returns in-house
White & Case, regulatory partner James Greig is taking a senior position at Barclays as head of regulatory relations.
Greig arrived at White & Case in 2016 from BNY Mellon, where he served as EMEA regulatory counsel and head of the office of public policy and regulatory affairs. Previously, he was a partner at WilmerHale between 2002 and 2009.
A wave of hires at White & Case in 2016 /17 brought Greig to the firm. Other partner hires at the time included finance partner Chris McGarry from Ropes & Gray, competition partner Marc Israel from Macfarlanes, M&A partner Patrick Sarch from Clifford Chance, and litigation partner Mark Clarke from Ashurst.
